Meet Our Doctors

Dr. T. James Taylor Jr.

Dr. Taylor received his B.S. in Zoology and his DVM at Iowa State University.  He also completed an internship at the University of Saskatchewan before becoming a medical staff at the University of Saskatchewan College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member and small animal program chair for the IVMA, has served as treasurer and secretary for the Midwest Small Animal Association, belongs to the the Lions Club, is involved in Boy Scouting, and is involved with many aspects of the ministry at First Christian Church.  Dr. Taylor has a special interest in orthopedic surgery.  He lives with his wife and their dog, Cassie.

Dr. Chad Smith

Dr. Smith graduated with his B.S. in Animal Science from Iowa State University in 1996 and received his DVM from Iowa State University in 2000.  Prior to joining us at Taylor Veterinary Hospital, he was a general practitioner at Ottumwa Veterinary Clinic in Ottumwa, Iowa. He belongs to the AVMA and IVMA, is an active member of Orchard Hill Church, and has a special interest in behavioral medicine/therapy.  He and his wife, have three children, four cats, Callie, Ebony, Tiger and Stormy and a dog, Honey.
