Pet of the Month - June 2018 - Jenni

Introducing …JENNI!!
We gave her the full name Jenell Suzanna.  Jenell is a German name that means kind, patient and understanding.  But mostly, we will call her Jenni.  She is approximately 2 ½ years old.
Jenni comes to us from White Paws German Shepherd Rescue of Wisconsin.  This is the same organization we adopted Gunner from.  They are simply outstanding.
Jenni’s story is a sad one.  She spent the first two years of her life in a puppy mill in Indiana. She was most certainly bred, probably more than once, and her puppies were taken away too soon.  Living conditions can only be described as horrible.  Jenni and her sister were sold at an auction on Craig’s List.  Thankfully, a kind-hearted man bought them both and rushed them to a reputable shelter that he knew would take good care of them.  That shelter called White Paws GSD Rescue.
Jenni came to White Paws Rescue in October of last year, and has spent the last 2 months with a wonderful foster couple in Wisconsin learning to trust humans and live in a home.   She is very sweet and affectionate once she warms up but is still considerably shy and nervous around new people and situations.  It will take some time and a lot of patience, but we know that in time she will learn that humans can be good people.  She has a good home and we believe she will be a happy, wonderful dog.
